My funds are not showing in the app

You deposited, or you have a balance in your wallet, but the app does not show it or will not let you trade with it.

Almost every case is one of the five below. In the first four the funds are safe and it is a question of finding them. The fifth, sending an asset the venue does not support or using the wrong address entirely, is the one that is not always recoverable.

You funded the wrong address

This is the most common cause by a wide margin.

There are two addresses in play and they are different:

  • Your connected wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, and so on) is how you log in, and it signs the deposit when you bring funds from another chain
  • Your smart wallet is the one that holds your trading balance, and it signs your trades — with a Privy-managed key created at your first login, not with your extension

dreamDEX provisions that smart wallet for you, and trading only ever draws from it. A balance sitting in your connected wallet is not used and will not appear as tradeable.

The fix depends on where the funds are. If they are already on Somnia, open the wallet panel, copy the DreamDEX trading account address, and send them there. It is not the same address as the one in your wallet extension. If they are on another chain, do not send to that address directly — the address exists on Somnia, and a transfer from Arbitrum would land on Arbitrum with no way to reach your account. Use the app's Deposit flow instead, which picks the source chain and runs the bridge and conversion for you.

The deposit is still converting

Every pair trades against USDso, so deposits convert.

  • USDC from another chain routes USDC → USDC.e → USDso. Depositing $100 of USDC from Arbitrum arrives as roughly 99.9 USDso. Mainnet only — testnet has no cross-chain deposit route, and you fund a testnet account from the Somnia testnet faucet instead
  • Somnia-native assets deposit without bridging
  • A cross-chain USDC deposit can also buy you a little SOMI for your first transactions, on mainnet. It is a setting rather than a promise: it runs when auto-buy gas is on — the default only while your smart wallet holds no SOMI — and when the deposit is large enough to cover the swap

USDso is redeemable for USDC, so nothing is locked in.

There is a delay between your source-chain transaction confirming and the balance landing, because the route has to finish. If the transaction is confirmed but the balance has not appeared, give the conversion time to settle before assuming something is wrong.

You are on the wrong network

Two different things get called "the wrong network", and only one of them is a problem.

The app you are on. dreamDEX runs a mainnet deployment on Somnia chain 5031 and a testnet one on 50312, each with its own balances. If you funded one and are looking at the other, nothing you deposited will be there. Testnet balances are not real and never appear on mainnet.

The network your connected wallet is on. This usually does not matter. Trading runs through the smart account on Somnia, not through your wallet's current chain. The one time it does matter is depositing from another chain, and there the app switches your wallet to the source chain itself when you submit — so if you are bridging from Arbitrum, being on Arbitrum is correct. Do not switch back to Somnia part-way through a deposit.

You have no gas token

Trading fees are zero, but actions are on-chain transactions and Somnia charges gas in its native token: SOMI on mainnet, STT on testnet. The spot market called SOMI exists on both networks and is not the same thing as testnet's gas. Some gas is paid for you and some is not:

  • Sponsored: trades on the SOMI ↔ USDso and USDC.e ↔ USDso pairs
  • Not sponsored: every other pair, stop orders, and anything on the Lend page

With none of the gas token in your smart wallet, the unsponsored ones will not go through. On mainnet a cross-chain USDC deposit can buy you a little SOMI to start, when auto-buy gas is on and the deposit is big enough to cover it; on testnet you take STT from the Somnia testnet faucet. If it was off, or the deposit was too small, or you have simply used it, you need to add more.

Supported assets

On mainnet you can hold and trade SOMI, USDso, USDC.e, WBTC and WETH. On testnet the markets are SOMI, WBTC and WETH against USDso: USDC.e can be held there but has no market, and is not converted to USDso. Anything else sent to a deposit address is not credited.

What you can bridge in is a shorter list: USDso, WETH and WBTC. SOMI and USDC.e are deliberately not offered as destinations — you get SOMI from the gas swap that runs after a deposit, and USDC.e is a step on the USDso route rather than somewhere to land. If you were looking for either in the deposit picker, that is why it is not there.

Funds sent to the wrong address are usually lost and not retrievable. No exchange can recover assets sent to an unrelated address, and dreamDEX settles on-chain, so a transfer you signed cannot be reversed.

What to send us

If none of the above explains it, open a ticket with:

  1. The transaction hash
  2. Which chain you sent from
  3. Which asset and how much
  4. The address you sent from, and the address you expected it to land in

Everything settles on-chain, so with the hash we can tell you exactly where the funds are.
